Anna Batyra is economist, specialized in labour  and family economics. She obtained her degree in Economics from the London School of Economics, and a Master and a PhD in Quantitative Economics from the European Doctoral Programme, undertaken jointly at the Catholic University of Louvain, Belgium, Tel Aviv University, Israel and the Paris School of Economics, France. Prior to coming to Galatasaray, she was a research fellow at Fonds National de la Recherche Scientifique (FNRS) in Belgium (2005-2009) and worked at the OECD Development Centre (DEV) in Paris (2009-2011). Her current research interests are labour and family economics with focus on gender and development.
